Genius and skill. Furniture and Cabinet – makers at the Court of Savoy in the 1700s – 1800s.

The exhibition shows art pieces of exceptional relevance in carving and cabinetry made in Piedmont between the 18^th and 19^th century, explaining their significance, use and development using technical and scientific insights and multimedia installations. These furniture were realized by the finest cabinet-makers and sculptors of the time (Luigi Prinotto, Pietro Piffetti, Giuseppe Maria Bonzanigo, and Gabriele Capello known as “il Moncalvo”), some of which will be presented for the first time thanks to loans from important Piedmonts and international museums and collections.
